Shinigami were formed in Athens in 2009 by Dionysis, Ektoras and Manos. The band began writing and performing original material, laying the foundations for what would follow.

Shinigami released their debut album, Past Mistakes. Rooted mainly in hard and heavy rock, the album captured an experimental period when the band was still discovering its musical identity.

Lefteris joined Shinigami on guitar and vocals, beginning a songwriting partnership with Dionysis that would become central to the band’s later material.

Kostas joined Shinigami on drums, adding the rhythmic foundation that remains part of the band’s current lineup.

During the COVID period, Shinigami released Back From The Dead, bringing together a selection of songs that had already been tested live and received a strong response from audiences.

Vassiliki joined Shinigami as lead vocalist, completing the four-member lineup that defines the band today.

Shinigami released Borderline PD, an eight-track concept album built around a dark crime story. The release marked the first full album created and recorded with the band’s current four-member lineup.

With the current lineup firmly established, Shinigami continue writing, recording and developing their music, building on everything that has brought the band to this point.
